A BBC article is featuring Malmö this week – and Malmö’s thriving entrepreneurial scene. The article really shows what a great place southern Sweden is, what it has to offer to newcomers and especially entrepreneurs. I couldn’t agree more, coming back from Southern Sweden’s largest meetup for startups last night, Startups Live, with 800+ people attending. Fantastic for a city with a population of 330,000.
“Recently ranked by the OECD as the world’s fourth most inventive city (after Eindhoven in The Netherlands, San Diego and San Francisco in the US) thanks to the large number of patent applications per capita, many of Malmö’s other thriving industries are focussed on making a positive impact on the planet. These include green energy, digital healthcare and sustainable tourism.”
